Amsterdam is hoofdstad van Nederland en wereldberoemd om a) de grachten b) de musea en c) de coffeeshops en soortgelijke bedrijven. De internationale sfeer maakt het een unieke plek in de wereld. Een must-do is een boottocht door de grachten met 17e-eeuwse huizen en woonboten, evenals een wandeling door de rosse buurt.

Rotterdam is de grootste haven van Europa en de 2e grootste stad van Nederland. Het staat ook bekend om de moderne architectuur zoals de kubuswoningen en de nieuwe markthal.

Maastricht is een van de oudste steden van Nederland. Het is een gezellige plek waar je het beste de locaties kunt bekijken en daarna een biertje kunt drinken op het Vrijthof. Of drink een kopje koffie met "Rijstevlaai" (traditionele cake). Eens per jaar geeft Andre Rieu hier een concert, omdat dit zijn geboortestad is ...

De windmolens van Kinderdijk (nabij de stad Alblasserdam) zijn wereldberoemd. Als je in het midden staat, kun je er ongeveer 20 tellen en - hoewel niet meer nodig om Nederland te redden - allemaal nog steeds functioneel!

Net ten noorden van Amsterdam ligt deze gemeenschap van twee voormalige vissersdorpjes. Volendam is vooral bekend vanwege de traditionele boerenkleding ('dracht') en paling. Edam, onderdeel van dezelfde gemeenschap, is wereldberoemd vanwege... kaas! Ook vlakbij: Marken!
