La Paz ("The Peace") at an altitude of 4071m is the highest capital city in the world. If you fly in here from a low country, you will need to adjust first. Sucre is a beautiful, very pleasant city with nice white buildings in the eastern part of the country. It is the 2nd official capital of Bolivia. Even though you may feel right at home here, you should still be careful with ice creams.
