Being surrounded by the water resulted in Windmills, Dykes and the Technical miracle called the Delta Water Works. The Dutch are the tallest people in the world and known to be very "open". Anything is possible. The Netherlands are very crowded and multi-cultural. Most Dutch speak multiple languages and ride a bicycle.
